Border City Brawlers vs Rollergirls of Central Kentucky

Border City’s Travel Team took on the Rollergirls of Central Kentucky in our second bout of the Mid-West Derby Girl Summit in Toledo, Ohio. BCB fought hard but in the end were defeated by R.O.C.K. with a final score of 133 to 85. The final jam was a heroic contest between R.O.C.K.’s #42 Ragdoll Ruby, a defensive powerhouse, and BCB jammer #99 Drop Dead Alice. Ragdoll Ruby was on constant attack, and from the suicide seating we counted at least six times that she knocked Drop Dead Alice to the floor; Alice, stalwart to the end, got to her feet again and again and continued fighting until the final whistle. It was a thrilling end to a great tournament where the Brawlers were pitted against two very strong teams.
