Windsor-Essex Pride Fest is thrilled to announce an exciting new move of Windsor-Essex Pride Fest Fest events, including the weekend festival and parade to Lanspeary Park and Ottawa Street respectively.

The community spoke, and we listened, our community asked for something new and different. The visual impact will help deliver our message of celebration and bringing communities together.

The new location features more green space and shade, and this more intimate setting will enable tourists and local attendees to connect, explore vendors, enjoy great entertainment, and everything else that makes Pride Fest a one-of-a-kind festival in the region.

Since its humble beginning as a small march of about 100 people in Windsor back in 1992, the Pride Festival has become one of our community’s most anticipated cultural attractions. Now 25 years later, the Pride Festival continues to promote equality and diversity through a range of fun-filled events created for all to enjoy and now at our new location at Lanspeary Park off Ottawa Street in Windsor.

The Pride Festival which is produced by Windsor-Essex Pride Fest, a non-profit run by a volunteer Board of Directors. The event brings together members of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer, Questioning and Two-Spirit (LGBTIQ2S) community, their friends, allies and supporters in celebration of the unique spirit and culture of our community by producing quality, inclusive and safe events and initiatives to celebrate. Windsor-Essex Pride Fest strengthens the sense of community and contributes to the vibrancy, health and overall well-being of persons in the LGBTIQ2S of Windsor-Essex.

The Windsor-Essex Pride Fest aims to promote equality and diversity through all of its events. We use theatre, music, art and entertainment to raise awareness of discrimination and the issues and difficulties affecting the lives of LGBTIQ2S people around the world. Our festival is an explosion of Pride in the heart of the Windsor, attracting approximately 5,000 people in a celebration of diversity. Through this we aim to promote a sentiment in favour of equality, uniting people in a celebrative atmosphere where all are welcome, and fostering a sense of community within the Windsor-Essex LGBTIQ2S population.

Entertainment announcements and schedules will be released in the upcoming weeks so stay tuned to our page for announcements.

For any questions please feel free to contact us at info@wepridefest.com or by phone at 226-348-3378
