roller derby 101
Interested in playing derby? Don't know where to start? We've got you covered. As with any sport you have to work from the ground up. Our veteran trainers will teach you everything you need to know to start playing derby such as; basic skating techniques, how to be safe and prevent injury, and last but not least game play! Our program runs about 20 weeks, practicing twice a week on Sunday and Thursday nights.
The form below will give you all the information you need to get started, it outlines practice time and expectations, costs associated and gear you will need.
Already know derbys for you? Stop by an information night, a practice or fill out an application below, and email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Shop for gear! Visit our recommended shops to try on skates and padding. Browse online vendors for deals and sales. Contact us, we may have second hand gear vets are looking to sell or pass along.
Why not try our sponsor rollergirl.ca?!
Or take a visit across the bridge to visit our friends in Downriver at Anime to Skateboards.

Every season after our newest skaters who have passed their skills testing they participate in The Fresh and Furious, an annual tournament hosted by Hogtown Roller Derby in Toronto, ON. This tournament is open exclusively to skaters who have been skating less than a year.
This past July our newest skaters took on FnF along side six other skaters from Niagara Roller Derby & Lansing Derby Vixens and made it through four rounds of game play. Here are a few highlights from the tournament. Photos from Jammer Line:
